Just checked this site prices and those parts you need would be about $21 plus a couple of gaskets at about $3 each unless you would need the bearings for the vertical part of the shaft the steering wheel fits on and those as a kit are $64 so if you would need every bearing it would still come to less than a hundred dollars but unless I miss my bet everything you need will cost less than $30. All slop will be from the bearings. Gears do not wear to need replaceing, only if you break one while taking apart.
