My neighbor had a shiny Cub when I was a kid. When my dad was gone to work and the big kids where at school for the day - I'd wander across the road and up the long driveway to "help" the old neighbor guy clean barns, sort piglets, weed in the garden, etc...and SOMETIMES I'd get to ride hanging onto the fender (of a bigger IH tractor), while he spread manure in the fields with my dog running behind and getting covered with poo. LOL
He and his wife were the best people - and they put up with me hanging out there A LOT. Usually got some great homemade snack while I was there too. :)
Some things were just great about "the good ol' days"!
