I don't have wood heat. Is it common practice for insurance companies not to insure people with wood heat? Or was there other reasons the insurance company wouldn't insure them?
State Farm wouldn't insure my commercial buildings. They said they only wanted to insure homeowners, not a business.
I know some insurance companies are picky, but I've always found an insurance company to cover me with the coverage I wanted. Ex, Farm Bureau would only give me depreciated value on my hail damage. They said that is common practice with all insurance Companies. Well Indiana Farmers will give me the coverage I want.
So I wonder just how hard did this family look for insurance?
I feel sorry for anyone who has a fire, flood or tornado. Everyone should have insurance regardless of the cost. I can't see ever being without it.
