JD, We had a very large fir tree come down on jan 4th 2017. Still dealing with it. Only thing that has been done is the tree as been cut and split. Had siding damage, roof and gutters also. Lost a carport that had a 12k generator in it that was totaled. Insurance has been ok but it is finding contractors to fix everything. One outfit wanted to put siding on the whole house. [$40,000] dollars, complete new roof, mine is only 6 months old, $32,000 for the roof. Didn't think insurance would go for that. Be nice if they would. Look at your policy real good. Mine specifies replacement. So as explained by my agent, whatever it costs is what it is and they have to pay to fix. At least in my case. Maybe I will get some of my premiums back after all of these years. Good luck and take lots of pictures. As per my agent.
