Here is an interesting photo from about 1953. A Darke County Ohio (near Bradford) farmer had a serious debilitating stroke. Nearby farmers showed up to help him out. My two older brothers are on the Oliver tractor in the back and my dad is in the front holding his cap. My dad farmed the farm for about another 6 or so years. The farm's owner lived for about another dozen years but with a moderate permanent physical and mental impact.
