I used to have a JD 4010 and had bought a backhoe attachment that was formerly part of a JD 310 TLB, I think. By mounting it on the 3-pt, that extended the weight considerably farther out than what would be normal. This backhoe was just on the verge of being too heavy for the 4010 and, I admit, there were times when the rear hydraulics just didn't want to lift that heavy load.
Your TO-30 is considerably smaller and with much weaker hydraulics, so it's going to be very difficult for you to use a 3-pt mounted backhoe on it. Would have to be a VERY small backhoe.
