Texting is definitely useful at times - and like with email... it can be a great way to convey a short message in a timely manner (and NOT have to play "phone-tag").

However, I do find it annoying when our two adult kids try to have a long conversation with me via text! So then I will text them and say, "Hey, just give me a quick call."
