I held out for a long time, but my grown kids all had smartphones and were texting back and forth, often with much hilarity involved, so Mrs. and I decided to get in on the fun. We got Iphone 5's for a penny apiece (with 2 year contract, of course), so now we're in the Fam group. Kind of sorry I held out for so long- its fun! Kids are better at this stuff than us, and they attach interesting stuff or videos, but we're getting the hang of it.
Even got my first "scam text" the other day- the American version of the Nigerian Prince scam- guy claimed to be a Marine going to Afghanistan, had no family so needed someone to ship his stuff and money to for safekeeping. Right.
