Price isn't all that bad considering what went into it. When I bought my 4230, 1979 model in 2005 there was a 4430 sitting adjacent to it....don't remember the year. Both had professional quality new paint, new rubber, new 134A ac system and cab interiors. I drove and checked out both. Details:
4230-4430: 100 PTO-125.....ok as 100 fit my implements and didn't want/need the turbo that made the 25 extra ponies. 3900 hrs pulling batwing one owner-10,000+ working as popular 125s are around here, owners and origin unknown, no wrenches on the engine Everything was tight-lots of loose parts shifting and steering. Had gear to gear synchro in range, but not full including range to range-don't remember 17k-19k.....
Comparing this 4430 to the 4440: So Here's an earlier tractor, more hours, no overhaul, unknown history, slightly less hp, 9 years ago for $6k more. Sounds like it's priced right.
