Before I put it on new truck I tried mothers mag and aluminum polish but it didn't hardly do anything to which I was surprised. Also trying to get in all the low spots around the diamonds was going to be pretty much impossible. I think I will try some of the other cleaners mentioned before I try painting. I just don't want it to turn out to be white. Back in the day I had a car with aluminium wheels that were pretty sad looking and could not be polished by hand. I got some spray on acid cleaner like is used on aluminum truck beds and it took the grime off but turned them white and I don't want that happening again.
