As a life long Minnesotan I am amazed at the tires that come on most of the new vehicles these days, given that there could be snow on the roads here for nearly 6 months. Not to make excuses for crappy drivers, but modern, smooth riding tires that the masses have on their cars these days just don't cut it once the snow falls. How long has it been since you have heard someone say " I've got to get my snow tires on pretty soon". Used to be commonplace here years ago.
