I have a head bolt type heater on my w-6, a tank type heater on one of the m's, lower radiator hose heater on other m, two frost plug heaters on the 1466, all seem to work well after plugging in for a few hours. The magnet type work well as a magnet for picking things up off the floor when I drop something. four of them did thaw out the ice in the rear end of the w-6 once many years ago, have since changed oil in it, no more problems.
