A freind of mine has a case IH ripper mrx690. He hit a rock and broke the shaft on the front disk part of the ripper. Put a new shaft in and bearings, Just recently broke another shaft.He thinks another rock. It is the long shaft that holds all the disk blades and spacers. He puts it all together and did 70 acres with it. The spacers seem to rub on the bearing.We looked at it last night and the bearings are shot after the 70 acres. What is going on here and what does the shaft thrust against. Why i ask is the spacer will move in the bearing easily. What holds everything solid so the spacers cant rub the bearing housing. I hope i have worded this clear enough.
