Is it a trip bucket or hydraulic? Back my trip bucket days it was hard to get that stuck on snow dislodged because I couldn't shake or jar the bucket. Something slippery sprayed in the bucket would be wasting precious money so it wasn't even thought of. If too much stayed in the bucket I got out the shovel to clean it off. That wasn't all bad because I usually needed to get off the seat to exercise and warm up the cold body anyway.
