Hello, new to this forum, but I have a great MF40 maybe 1957 or so with Continental z134 gas engine. Also has a great knock when I throttle up. Going to park it and drop the oil pan to start with. Any precautions I should take? Looks like if I remove quite a few bolts, the pan will come free without breaking the tractor in half. Possibly looking at in-tractor rebuild at the least. don't want to think about worst-case. Thanks for any help. Great tractor with Ford loader, very able machine.
