The inching pedal is where the clutch pedal on standard shift tractors would be . They are made just for that starting out a load smooth and hooking up equipment. Don't be afraid to use it . It disengages wet clutch packs in the transmission . They are a very trouble free transmission . We have a 3020 with 17000 hours on and it was a main loader tractor for most of those hours. The transmission has never been apart . We always use the inching pedal for loading silage or manure or you would be breaking a lot of things. But you do not need to use it to shift every gear.
