The scam is you do not go there in person and pay for the item in person and take it with you. Eldon will never hear back.
You wire the money ahead and then it will be delivered to you by a trucking company. The item does not exist and your money will be long gone.
I know a friend of a friend that fell for this on a compact Deere. College educated supposedely smart....well. He did get a bogus serial # and ran it and it was not stolen. The low price was simply too tempting for him and $12k he is out.
Moral of the story is that if you can not goto the spot and physically see the item and then pay for the item yourself and haul it away then pass regardless of how good the price looks.
