Darn shame, I remember shopping at the original Cabelas store in sidney, old 3 story building on the corner of the main N-S and E-W streets and the old man ran it. Their catalog was 20-30 pages, think 8 1/2 x 11 sheets folded in half. He was a great guy and well thought of in the area, his wife not so much and the kids even less so. When the did an addition on their house to house his taxidermy (tall enough to hold a full mount giraffe) she went thru every contractor in Sidney and a few from surrounding area.

In July of 1998 I was talking to fellow Allis Chalmers collector Mike Schilling about the annual "Gathering of The Orange" AC show coming up in August of 1999.
