About like bmack,Doc said nothing but walking for six months after the cutting and it was a year before he let me go to work(I quit my job so I could have the surgery). My first job was delivering 60# tow motor LP tanks. When the Doc asked what I was doing I thought he was going to pass out. When I reminded him he said if everything went good I could lift 100# a hundred times a day,he then said YEA but I did not mean it. Do what the DOC says or do not have the surgery. Mine was 15 years ago. The Spine Center, Washington University, St.Louis MO. Dr. Bridwell.
