Several years ago, a cashier at an out-of-town Walmart in York, NE shorted me $10. I didn't realize it until I was down the road and made another purchase elsewhere.
I emailed Walmart's Corporate Customer Service and gave time, date, register location, and everything else I could think of. Believe it or not, from Bentonville, AR Walmart was able to determine that that particular register had been $10 long at the end of that shift. They sent me a $20 gift card with thanks. I don't even know if the gal did it accidently or intentionally, nor do I know if Walmart took any action.
