How bad are the thorns? There is on the market a thing that is basically two pieces of iron connected at the top with a piece of chain the idea is as you pull over the bush the two pieces of iron closes and pulling the shrubs out. I'm thinking that there is one that operates off the hydraulic that goes on a skid loader. It might not be a bad idea to rent a skid loader that way if there's thorns in the tires in won't be your problem. One guy I knew bought a steel wheeled tractor just for pushing out thorn bushes.
