Hi Mark, I had more photos but had trouble uploading them Yes, that's our Chamberlain. 1957 "6G" . The wording on the bonnet is "made in Australia" That model and the 9G are very popular for treks. They have a big bench seat so the wife can come along, plus they will do 30mph. That track is in sandy soil, and I'd say it was so low due to erosion and wear and tear. Some of them get lower every year. Our soils change incredibly in this country. We are on the edge of the Darling Downs, where there are huge areas of what is known as black soil. Sounds similar to what you were describing. I'm in road and bridge building and black soils are a real challenge. Other areas have different soil, but they can be very fine in texture, subject to wind and water erosion.
