My family raised sod for several years. If the state inspector found Johnson Grass he had the power to condemn the farm.My dad made sure we never had a problem. We never loaned tillage tools or let anybody work our ground with there equipment. The ryzones transferred on a disk could be a bad thing.
The best way to control it is watch your areas that have it. When it's around a foot tall contact someone with a weed roller applicator. There are several in your area. For spot spraying an ounce of Round Up to the gallon knocks the he!! out of it.
