I once sold a car and the new owner did not transfer the title.i found this out as I got a toll bill from the golden gate bridge and a nice pic of the license plate. I sent them letters and a bill of sale. They would not let up so I just ignored them. They quit sending bills but I probably have a,warrant in California. I have never drove across the golden gate in my life and probably never will. Anyway moral to the story is pull your plates or make sure they transfer the title before you give over ownership.
