Don't think they are speed cameras, they haven't caught on...Yet...
But some states are using them in construction zones!
Likely they were toll road cameras. They seem to be going in everywhere here in Texas. So far they have all been well marked, it would be hard to get on one and not know it.
But I have found the GPS seems to be preprogrammed to do it's best to get you on them!
If you do get a bill in the mail, be absolutely sure to pay it on time! I've seen news reports about their astronomical late charges and relentless collection efforts! Horror stories of lost payments, improper billing, a single lost payment turning into thousands of dollars of indisputable late charges! They can't bring criminal charges here, but can destroy credit, hold registration, and hold driver license renewal.
I've never been on one, don't have a toll tag, and avoid them at all cost!
