the one that I use the most is a 10-22 ruger, bought it in 1974 for 39.95$. I have changed it a little, a 29" Green Mountain barrel and a Leopold 8.5-24 scope. It is very quite with standard velocity CCI ammo. The one that I liked the least I didn't own. A guy came to our range one day with a Remington rolling block pistol with a RCBS 100 round ammo box. One round was empty when he got there! He wanted to know if anyone wanted to shoot it. Most people who shot it quit with one round. I shot it seven times and couldn't stand one more. The ammo was reloaded to rifle specs with a 500 graine bullet! I think he had 87 rounds left! That thing was a handful!
