With the great deals on used equipment, you could pay a custom shop to fully restore a mid 50s IH and fabricate a cab with your other desires for less than what a new evil diesel wide front unit would run I'd bet. There are 3 point conversions for them and I think LPTO was available around that time, not on the C to my knowledge (but I'm pretty new to all this).
