Just had shoulder done yanked on a box at work split rotator in half they ground out bone spurs and cut the tendon. Slow recovery but had other one done a couple years back when I had that one done I couldn't move the arm away from my body nor open a car door now pain free and arm fully functional. Talk to doctors and get all the information you can get the first surgery they cut and reattached the tendon I assumed that the would do the same on the next one I was wrong they said after that I didn't need both. What they told me is where the tendon is there was arthritis and bones spurs growing in there the price of getting old that means that the room inside was was getting tighter as you get older.
