This tractor has a 4 71 Detroit and is a 4x4. The original transfer case went bad and has been replaced with one from another same brand tractor. The original was able to take out of 4x4--this other one is full time 4x4. I wanted to be able to take it out of 4x4--so on the transfer case side is a solid 2 inch dia. 2 1/2 ft. long piece that slides into a little larger round piece . Have a bolt that goes all the way thru both pieces. This bolt shears. What ideas are out there to put these two pieces together that will hold, but can be taken apart if I don't want to be in full time 4x4????
