Solved the howling and failing Delco fuel pump problems on the truck with a Bosch pump.
Just picked up a new 145 amp alternator for the same old farm truck as the post office . The 1st replacement 105 amp alternator that has been on there 80,000 miles or so charges intermitantly . The alternator took a beating operating at 100% continuous output a few months ago when the camper battery shorted out . The wife and kids drove around for a week wondering what the bad smell was but didn't notice the dim lights and lower than normal voltage.
