so, I have an International 300U with a loader on it. The original fan belt broke the other night. So,I decided no time like the present (sunny Father's day) to replace it. What a nightmare. Remove the hood and sheet metal. remove the loader front guard. Remove the loader pump which mounts to the front crank pulley. Remove the radiator. Remove the fan blade. Now, it looks like I need to jack the tractor up and loosen the entire front steering bolster as the gap between the crank pulley and bolster is about 1/4" but the belt is 1/2 thick. And, I might even need to remove the water pump to stretch the belt on. And, oh, I ordered a new belt. Plus, I ordered the generator belt, because that mounts BEHIND the fan belt. This tractor is a nightmare to work on compared to my Ferguson & JD's. Come on, what were they thinking when they designed this thing??????? Is there an easier way to get the belt on?
