Finally getting the sunshine needed to put up some pretty thick brome. We don't ted hay here in Central KS because it's usually too dry in the first place. This year has been extremely wet lately, but dry early.
I have a wide road ditch I usually do that lays in between two fields. It was definitely thick in spots as well. Here are a few pics of some of the cutting and although I usually don't need to rake hay, I did Saturday just to help it dry a little as the humidity has been very high.
Last night I small square baled about 70 bales the old fashion way with two guys on the wagon. I need to get another 70 or 80 tonight and I will try to get pics of that for the nostalgia. The rest of the hay will be large rounds, but I like to get a couple of hundred smalls just to have on hand. Bob
