The company that I worked for bought a camper mounted on a 3/4 ton pickup, back when RV campers first became popular. It was available to employees. The first person to use the camper was an engineer and his wife. When they got back from a week's vacation, other employees asked how they liked the camper. He said that it was okay for him, but his wife said that sleeping and cooking in that camper was no vacation for her!
A couple other people used it and declared that was it was not really a comfortable vacation. Word go around and nobody else requested to use the camper again so the company sold it!
