Man... I'd take vacation from work just to ride along with on these trips. I sometimes think I should have been an OTR trucker.. I was just telling a guy at work a couple nights ago how I wish I had more ability to see the wonderful natural parts of this country that were created for us to all see (not to mention meeting a lot of neat folks along the way).
Best trip I ever took was probably on my motorcycle from NW Minneapolis, MN suburbs to Austin, TX and back. Mostly I-35 all the way, but really liked areas of Kansas City, The tallgrass prairies of Kansas, and the Turner Falls area of OK.
Never seen the Grand Canyon, the Badlands, or really any of the incredible national parks. These areas and a ride on old Route 66 are all on my bucket list.
