My uncle had a Farmall H with the old Horndraulic manure loader on it. We backed his Ariens rear engine rider into the bucket so just the back wheels were in and put blocks behind the wheels. Then we chain it so that the rest would hang fairly horizontal. We started the mower and turned on the blades. We then went back and forth along the tall hedge. It was an outstanding idea except that we all had to take turns because everyone ended up maimed from flying evergreen branches. It didn't stop us of course. We just got bandaids and got back in the rotation. Eye protection? Who needs that??
