My dog was always fine with the landlord when I was around (Chesapeake Bay Retriever) then she tried to enter the home when I wasn't there (sneaky lawyer/landlord, Never did get my security deposit.). She said she barely got out of there. She came later when I was there and all was well. The dog also saved my girlfriend when some guy approached her aggressively. She said she was barely able to hold the leash. Those dogs and some labs can have a crazy, scary mean side.
