Actually there were quite a few options. You had the Columbia 2 speed rear. Had to change out the rear of the car. You had several in line overdrive units that required the Tube to be changed. There was also a 5 speed drop in transmission. Today you can buy a brand new over drive from Mitchell for like $1000.oo but is a super slick unit. The Originals and latter were Borg Warner, Laycock, and the Columbia Rear.
