It's definitely getting a new set of valves, springs, and guides when torn apart. So the step head Pistons that were out in the 5000 ft distillate model tractors are the same dimensions as the ones in the standard gasoline models? Would I be safe putting in 8000 foot gas Pistons or the fire crater style with that distillate head? The reason I ask is that most suppliers of these in frame kits are pretty vague about fitment and list kits that are for gasoline and distillate models, distillate models having the flat top Pistons and the gas models having step head Pistons.
