I have a neighbor with a Ford 5000 sos trans, and he loves it. He had one of each (SOS and gear drive) he sold the gear drive and kept the SOS. I thought he was crazy, but it was his decision. He had both over 30 yrs. It has been trouble free. He did buy a new kubota, and said it was the worst move he made. It always has something wrong with it. There will never be another kubota on that farm.
