I did not realize 15 should not be used in pre-2012 vehicles. I have a mileage log in every vehicle as I have mentioned before. A local station put in new pumps that have a separate hose for E10, E15 and E85 along with a hose with non-ethanol gas. I always have used E10 but since this one station has E15 I started putting E15 exclusively in my 09 Colorado. I think I'm up to ten tanks fulls of 15 or close to it. Anyway, I compared the mileage with 15 to the mileage with 10 a year ago during the same season and about the same temps and the mileage did not change. The mileage is averaging in the 19 range for a two wheel drive Colorado with a five cylinder for driving to town type driving. Haven't had it on trips much so I don't have much of a test but when I have had it on longer drives the mileage is in the 23-23 range. Next test will be with non ethanol for ten or so tanks. The jury is still out. I'll let you know in three months or so.
