A couple months ago, my daughter locked her keys in her 2003 pontiac grand prix. her husband was at work across portland, and I was 1/2 mile away. She called me. I went over there, knowing I didn't have any tricks up my sleeve. As I walked up to the car, I grabbed the keys for my 69 gmc pickup (single sided key) thinking that the grand prix also used single sided keys. I stuck the key in and unlocked the door. reached in and grabbed the double sided key out of the ignition switch. It shouldn't have worked, but it did. I always try every key I have if I don't have a better option. Tim in OR
