The big rub with the Ramblers was that they were always WAY BEHIND in technology. When the others were using disc brakes, Rambler was still using 4-wheel drums with seriously limited braking capacity. And be advised, that Borg-Warner transmission will not take any abuse. Make sure you warm it up good before you try to put it in reverse. They were famous for breaking the reverse band. One thing we used to do in the old days was to drill a small relief hole in the reverse servo to keep the reverse engagement from breaking the band from engaging too suddenly.
