Flair box and they were never popular in this area, Ohio and Indiana, hay and grain. You could not use them for hay and you could not shovel ear corn out of them into a crib. So usueless in this area. Have a wood box that was on a gear I bought and it was made in Minesota so I suppose they were used up in that are. Just a straight side box you could put what was called a shovel board on back instead of the regular endgate so you could shovel the corn into the crib. But as flat beds with tight floors and sideboards became avaible fro hay as well as grain most of the box beds were left to rot. Then when elevators started comming around to fill the cribs the hopper bed became popular as it was easier to unload.
