Friend of mine who always drives junk thought he got a deal on a car. What happened is he paid about fair market. Inside of 3 months he had dumped about 3700 into a 1400 dollar car. Then tried telling people what a deal he got. I was visiting him one evening and after he showed me the latest repair receipt I looked at all his receipts for they darn thing, added em up and showed him that it wasn't such a great after all.
For me the money pits as far as vehicles go were the only 2 Chrysler products I ever owned. I've had great service out of both Chevy and Ford. An once the Chryslers stated cost too much I got rid of them quick. Only way I'd own another one would be if I could buy it new and afford to trade it off every 6 months!
