That's pretty bad, but it could and does get worse. There are times when someone does something as equally horrific or even much worse, it's caught on video so that there is no doubt or question of what happened or who did it, and then the defendant's attorney successfully argues to the judge that such evidence needs to be excluded because it could or would cause undo prejudice and then making it even worse, the judge issues a gag order on all of it throughout the trial so that much of the pertinent evidence is not heard by the jury, whom then acquits the defendant and then after the trial is over, finds out about the evidence that would have rightfully convicted if it had not been withheld from them.
It's a sad state of affairs anymore and no wonder that people are pretty angry across the board and from top to bottom.
