It all depends on the wall thickness and the tensile strength of the tubing used in making the catch pens. We have a portable setup that I know will turn a 3000 LBS bull when he hit it. The sixteen foot gates/panels take two men to life and carry them.
I have owned Foremost, Big Valley and Powder River chutes/tubs. The Powder River seems to be the better quality to me. You also need to makes sure of the model. All of the manufactures I mentioned make several grades of equipment.
