George; The Pride of America is the ONLY cruise ship that I know of that flys an American flag. By U.S. law the ship owners have to hire Americans that pay US taxes and support your social security. So yes they were correct and if you will only take a cruise on a US flag ship you will have to go on the Pride of America.
The point I was making is do not feel that Norwegian Cruise Line is flying this American flag or hiring American workers that pay US takes and soc sec by free choice. Norwegian is dong the above because US law forces them to. If they want to sail from one US port to another US port the ship must fly and American Flag and hire American workers by US federal law.
