My first real pair of boots was a pair of Carolina "Loggers". The higher heel really helps my back.
They were China made, and $120, I got 2 1/2 years out of them, and that was being worn 4-7 days a week. VERY impressed.
This time around, I wanted a little better quality, and I wanted American made, so I bought a different model. $179.99 for a pair of 16E Loggers! AWESOME boots, have been in them about 2 months now I think. Here is the link to them. Most of their stuff is American made, and they are proud of it, good prices, on GOOD boots. Probably won't last you 5 or 6 years, but, I think less than $200, for 3 years of boots is pretty darn good...
