We had a tremendous crop of hay this year. Had some very nice timothy and alfalfa third crop so I pulled out the old square baler. Baled up six big loads and pulled them in the shed. Wife advertised them on Facebook for $6 each. A couple horse people showed interest and stated they wanted a few bales each. Each showed up with fancy short bed pickups and took 10 bales and paid cash. Few days later both wanted more as well as several other people. Seems like word gets around the horse community. We could probably have sold 10 times the hay we baled. Seems like good horse hay is hard to find? In a year hay is almost unsalable because of ample supply you still can sell quality small squares to horse people for a decent price. Now we have received several requests for hay next year but I'm not committing as I don't want to get into the idiot cube business very badly.
