Listening to the news, some places going to get up to 24 inches of snow, some ice. In 1978 we got a blizzard, wind out of the north. Snow drifted, roads had snow higher than a car, roofs collapsed. I heard my house roof talking, so I got up on roof with a shovel and pushed all the snow off the south side of roof.
Ice storms always bring trees down and electric lines too. Ice storms and straight line winds are responsible for me being without power for up to 12 days. But thank God that's only happened a few times in my life time and the winds happen in the spring, so I've never had any frozen pipes.
I feel sorry for those out east, glad I'm not in mother nature-cross hairs. Hope they have enough fuel to power up their generators for a long time. They may not be going any place for a while.
